I am so thankful to have my job.
Having A job right now, in this crazy time of economic doubt and crisis is something to be thankful for in itself.
But, having a job that I love. A job that challenges me. A job that rewards me. A job that keeps me laughing, singing, dancing (we dance the hell out of life in my classroom), crying, caring and learning each and every day… well it’s just amazing.

“Eww! Did you just freakin’ say crappy?” – C
“Yes! The weather is really crappy today!” – me
“Ms. Brooks! That’s just wrong! That’s a cuss word! And it means POOP!” – C
…. “Saying freakin’ is just wrong! That’s a cuss word! And it means.. well, never mind. But, it is like saying a cuss word!” – me
I love me some C Tuesdays! I am forever thankful that I was once their teacher, and am now a family friend.

It’s a been a pretty grouchy mood day today. And driving home from school at 4:45 (IN THE DARK!!) did not make the evening seem like it was going to be any better. But, I did realize that I am thankful for my health and the opportunity that I have to exercise and stay active. After a long walk with Garth Brooks my mood was starting to change. And after an hour of Zumba I feel completely different.
Here’s to getting high off endorphins! (Am I old or what?!)

365 days until the 2012 election. I am grateful to live in a democratic country where I have the freedom of choice in my vote.

I got to visit a dear friend of mine today who had her first baby. Today I am so thankful that I live in a time and place that allows women to choose when and if they are ready for children. She is clearly made to be a mother… I am so excited for her.

Today I am super excited that I have really no plans for this entire weekend! I am so thankful to just relax!
Bring on the books!

Thursday is my least favorite day of the week.. and to top it off, today I am really grouchy. So, I am for sure thankful that tomorrow is a new day, and Friday at that! Add $1 jean day to that new Friday, and I can just feel the gratitude swelling in my heart!
Here’s to tomorrow.

I’m thankful that today is 30 degrees cooler, and gloomier, than yesterday.
Not that I love rainy, 40 degree days… because I really don’t.
But, I do love living in the Midwest, and getting to experience the most amazing seasons. Fall (clearly my favorite of all seasons) is very obviously coming to an end – welcoming winter. I don’t love all things winter, but there sure are some really great things about that season. (Hello, Christmas movies!)
… And let’s be real, the sooner it can be this exact time next year… well, I am totally okay with that!
