Today I got a wonderful email from such a dear friend. She said some of the kindest things to me… it filled my heart.
I think we are often so busy with life’s general craziness that we forget to let people know what they mean to us.
I am so grateful that my friend took the time today. What a good feeling.

Today was a great day. Filled with great friends, great towns and great conversation. My girlfriends are amazing. Mount Vernon is amazing. And of course, anytime shopping is involved… well, that’s amazing.
I am thankful for it all.

Today was such a good day of relaxing, reading, cooking… all things that didn’t have to be done. But, got to be done because there was nothing else of pressing importance.
Sometimes it’s nice to have days like this. Being a routine-schedule type of girl, occasionally I feel thankful to have a laid back, agenda free type of day.

A few months ago I realized that my eyes were getting real weird. I had lasik eye surgery done about 8 years ago and my vision still seemed fine. I just was having a terrible time with my depth perception. Like missing stairs, running into everything, dropping things… so I had my eyes checked.
Long story short, I do have a little depth problem and I was told glasses would not be necessary, but could be beneficial for some parts of my day.
Today my glasses came. And I am so thankful for a companies like Warby Parker who create quality products and also donate quality products. Warby Parker charges only $95 per pair of glasses (not to mention, they have a sweet ass little try on policy) and for every pair of glasses that are ordered, they donate a pair to a person in need. Win. Win.
I love that more and more companies are creating such a sense of generosity and thoughtfulness.

I’m beat today. Exhausted both physically and mentally. I am so thankful to get in my bed and just snuggle with my puppy.

The universe has a really funny way with timing…
Today I was supposed to make dinner for some friends, but as it turned out both were unable to make it.
Which was no big deal, because then I knew I would be able to go to Zumba and not rush through a workout thinking about a dinner to cook.
But, when I got to Zumba and saw everyone standing outside in the cold it became very apparent that class had been unexpectedly cancelled.
Which actually became no big deal, because a dear friend called me join her for an evening in.
Which turned out to really just be the perfect plan for tonite.
Thank goodness for just right timing.

I can’t lie… I am pretty grateful that today is almost over. It was a rough, crabby, loud and generally angry day. Good thing tomorrow is a new one.

Good friends. Good food. Good books. Good conversation. I love me some book club gatherings. I am so thankful for that group.

I am so thankful for such a good weekend. Time with the mister, time with friends, projects around the house… normal life.

So grateful for good friends… A good nite out filled with stories, laughter and love. Just what I needed…
